![]() We'd like a better understanding of what gear you're actually using, and what gear you're passing on.īy late game (even in Normal mode) I will usually carry a complete set of Maliwan Snipers (Shock, Fire and Corrosive, and sometimes even Slag). The game throws a LOT of weapons at you, the fact that you're not finding any you think are useful is a concern to us. Our point is that you shouldn't need to be that dependent on the Golden Chest during the late game in TVHM. And make sure to hit the red chests in the Highlands. You can also farm the Gunnerang and there is a mission that drops a blue rocket launcher (The Roaster I think it's called). I have a lvl42 Gubb on an old save, you can have it if you want. I have a lvl41 Maya that just completed the circle of slaughter in the fridge, so at this level you can farm some Hails and Gubbs. Otherwise, maybe you need to look at your tactics and build, or level up a bit. If you can't find a blue, purple or gold that does more damage than your current gear, than your current gear should be more than enough to handle enemies (you can complete TVHM with green gear). If it does more damage, its's an upgrade. Just compare the damage stat on the cards. Yeah not sure what you mean by 'upgrade'. How many of those do you have? How many are with in 2 to 3 levels of your character? Here for example is a list of side quest rewards, rated (at least nominally) for relative quality: You're expected to reload zones, and to clear them more than once. that's not really how the game is meant to be played. It sounds to me like you're trying to rush through the game as quickly as possible with as little backtracking as possible, and. ![]() There are chests all over the game, learn where the good ones are and go visit them, then reload and do it again. ![]() The vending machines in Sanctuary will always be (more or less) the level of the main story mission you're running. The game throws weapons and gear at you all the time. If you're still in TVHM, then you really shouldn't be spending Golden Keys. (regardless of what it might say when you compare the cards). Sometimes (frequently), that white rarity weapon that just dropped for you is better than the blue/purple/orange weapon you're using that's 5 levels old. Damage falloff is based on level disparity, and is increasingly aggressive as you proceed through the difficulty levels. I don't know what gear you have and what gear you're passing on, but upgrades aren't always what you think. kind of depends on what you think an upgrade is. The problem is that all the loot I find is never and upgrade to what I currently have, the only way Ive been able to upgrade is using like 5 golden keys at once, and most of the loot from golden keys are shields and weapons that arent an upgrade If your gear is too low, do some sidequests Check your equipment though, your character level means nothing if your gear is 5+ levels below it. Originally posted by Innocent:2-3 levels is nothing in NVHM, you should be able to handle enemies reasonably well. The Highlands also has 2 red chests that you can literally just walk to: one under Blake Bridge, and one in the Zaford bar cash stash (you need to do the clan war mission to unlock it, but it's not hard). This will solve your Loader problem quicksmart. You can do Scooter's mission that unlocks Laney White and farm her for the Gubb. I got like 3 machine legendaries with 700 hours of play).Įdit: according to this chart, the Fridge should be around level 42. Check out the items of the day for nice blues or sometimes purples (it's possible to get legendaries too but is exceedingly rare. You can also farm vending machines in areas that are your level. It's got something like 10 green chests and 1 red chest, + the Gwen's Head + about 5 minibosses and their drops. The Dust levels up several times as the story progresses, so you can check it and see if it drops on level gear. ![]() You can also farm certain areas that are on, or close to, your level. There should be more than enough quests in the game to keep you geared and levelled. If your gear is too low, do some sidequests. 2-3 levels is nothing in NVHM, you should be able to handle enemies reasonably well.
